Our Thread

Our invisible thread binds us,
entwines us,
reminds us we are two yet one.
Its length is immeasurable always together when apart.
Wrapped gently like satin
we feel each other's heart.

Our thread is individual,
unique,
one of a kind
ever growing and molding,
flowing smooth like red wine.

We cannot see it,
this lovingly binding thread.
We feel it with us growing,
like a budding vine
that will bring forth fruit.

The fruit that grows
from the life of two lovers,
always connected invisibly,
two bound by God, the True Vine.

Synopsis:

A meditation on the invisible spiritual thread that binds two lovers together. This thread is immeasurable, keeping them connected even when apart, wrapping them gently so they feel each other's hearts. Unique and ever-growing, the thread is like a budding vine that will bring forth fruit—the life that grows from two lovers always connected, bound by God as the True Vine.

Author's Note

I've always believed that certain people are connected by something invisible yet undeniable—a thread that binds them spiritually. With Priya, I feel that thread constantly. Even when we're apart, it's there, reminding us we are "two yet one." The image of the thread as a budding vine came from thinking about how our love grows and will bear fruit. The reference to God as the True Vine acknowledges that our connection isn't just ours—it's part of something larger, something divine. We're bound by God, and that makes our thread eternal.
