Sweet Delight

Perchance to dream
In the depth of the night
I embrace my lover
For sweet delight
I hold her close
And feel her breath
I kiss her deeply
For sweet delight
Our passion is sultry
Love making excite
I hold her close
For sweet delight
I love my darling,
my princess, my sprite.
Together forever
Our Sweet Delight

Synopsis:

A dream-inspired poem structured around the refrain "For sweet delight." In the depth of night, Scott embraces his lover, holds her close, feels her breath, and kisses her deeply. Their passion is sultry, their lovemaking exciting. The poem celebrates his darling, princess, sprite, declaring "Together forever / Our Sweet Delight."

Author's Note:

The phrase "sweet delight" kept echoing in my mind, so I built the whole poem around it as a refrain. "Perchance to dream" borrows from Shakespeare because these moments with Priya do feel dreamlike—almost too good to be real. Whether I'm actually with her or dreaming of her, the delight is the same. I love calling her my princess, my sprite—these affectionate names that capture her magic. Our passion is sultry, our connection exciting, and being together is the sweetest delight I've ever known.
