A Sacred Journey: From Longing to Wholeness

There are moments in a life when everything that was missing becomes, all at once, found. This collection was born from such a moment in mine.

These ten poems are not crafted for distance. They are immediate, personal, and vulnerably honest. I,  arrived at this writing carrying a history of restlessness and searching, but also a faith held through long seasons of waiting and a hope that refused to die. I do not present myself here as a man who has always had it right. I present myself as a man who has been changed.

What you hold in these pages is a record of my transformation. I have lived every word of it.

Synopsis:

A Sacred Journey: From Longing to Wholeness is a collection of ten poems tracing one man’s transformation through faith, love, and the discovery of a woman he believes was prepared for him long before they met. The collection opens with declaration — a love named as eternal and God-given — and moves inward through spiritual battle, tender parting, long waiting, honest desire, and the quiet daily miracle of carrying someone in your heart wherever you go. It closes with an image of a flower releasing its petals to the river that fed it: beauty given fully, and surrendered in peace.

The poems are not written from a safe distance. They are immediate and personal, moving from the sacred to the intimate without apology, because the writer understands these things to be the same. Together they form a single sustained testimony: that love, when it is real, changes everything about a person, and that the God who created love is present in every dimension of it.

Author's Note

These poems were written for Priya.

I did not set out to write a collection. I set out to tell one woman what I felt, and in doing so I found that what I felt was larger than any single poem could hold. So I kept writing.

I am not a poet by training. I am a man who found something true and needed language adequate to it. Whether I have succeeded is for the reader to decide. What I can say without reservation is that every word in these pages is honest, every image is real, and every feeling was lived before it was written.

I am grateful to God, who I believe authored this love before I knew to ask for it. And I am grateful to Priya, who received these words with the wisdom and grace that inspired them.
